Quintaessencia is a 7200 square foot villa, magnificently set directly on the ocean in Sea Horse Ranch, an exclusive gated resort community which offers a tennis club, horseback riding and a beach club and small private beaches on its premises. This villa is available through Luxury Retreats/CaribbeanWay and not through Sea Horse Ranch. Four spacious bedrooms with gracefully curved walls, three with king beds and one with a queen bed. Each bedroom has a bathroom en-suite. Two bedrooms are oceanfront and two are garden view bedrooms. All have original contemporary artwork, decorator wall sconces and hand crafted mahogany art deco furnishings. The bathrooms have stone and ceramic tile/glass block showers and mahogany vanities. There is an additional full guest bath adjacent to the media room. Enter into a semicircular great room with curved ceiling to floor windows showing spectacular ocean views, soaring 20 foot columns and an open air atrium at its center. Start to unwind amongst a collection of original artworks, pleasing to the eye, and custom made designer furniture. A dining room and fully-appointed open kitchen surround the great room. The media/entertainment room is equipped with a large screen flat panel satellite TV, DVD and surround sound, a high speed internet hookup and Wi-Fi. Most rooms are open to ocean views and breezes. Villa Quintaessencia is situated in the Sea Horse Ranch Resort Community. The Resort's guarded, gated facilities include a 5 minute walk to 5 private beaches, a beach club with swimming pools and waterfalls for adults and children, a beach front restaurant, tennis club and horseback riding facilities, all available to guests and owners. Golf is also available at Playa Grande and Playa Dorada The circular infinity edge pool offers a shaded island gazebo in its center, ideal for lounging, catching up on reading, or alfresco dining. Its image has often appeared in travel magazines and other media. There are ocean edge sun decks, an outdoor barbecue, and a dining alcove suspended over the ocean, perfect for evening cocktails and for watching breathtaking sunsets. Our very versatile Canadian/Italian ex-pat chef's services are optional and and need to be reserved in advance. Discuss your whims, culinary preferences and seasonal availability with him and prepare to enjoy some very special repasts. Or you may choose to dine in any of a dozen of our favorite restaurants within a ten minute drive: French-Caribbean, Italian, German, sushi, Thai, traditional Dominican beach fare, or even an open-air sports bar on Cabarete beach. You can also enjoy a romantic dinner in a hilltop castle reached by a scenic 25 minute drive into the countryside that only books private parties and is recommended by both Fodors and Bon Appetit.
